Overwhelming Demand for New Homes
Enthusiasm for new homes is higher than ever as people race to snap up the latest new developments.
Award-winning housebuilder Esquire Developments has been overwhelmed by the demand for its new homes after launching the next phase of its Woodlands development in Medway and opening of a show home.
After 30 appointments were booked, four homes were reserved during the first weekend of the show home being open, and a further three buyers are finalising their paperwork. Interest in the new homes has seen appointments at the show home now fully booked for the next three weekends
The homes, which are all being sold off plan, will be ready to move into at the end of the year.
Demand for new homes has remained high since the start of the year and 10 of the 19 three-, four- and five-bedroom homes in the latest phase at Cliffe Woods have been reserved before the show home opened.
Paul Henry, Managing Director of Esquire Developments, said: “These homes have all been reserved in full knowledge that the stamp duty holiday will come to an end before the sale goes through. To have such interest from the public shows how much we are trusted, and how enthusiastic people are to live in an Esquire home.”
Alex Mattingly, Head of Sales & Marketing at Esquire Developments, said: “During the pandemic we have put extensive measures in place to ensure the safety of our potential buyers and staff, with all visits arranged by appointment only and with strict protocols for visitors.
“Last year was our busiest ever in terms of enquiries and demand, with at least two or three qualified buyers vying for each of our new homes, and 2021 has continued in a similar way.”
The company’s Riverbourne development of 69 new homes at Chattenden and all eight plots at its Foxglove scheme in Rainham have recently both sold out, with only two plots from earlier phases still available at Woodlands.
The Woodlands show home – called a Sycamore – on Town Road is close to the local community with the countryside on its doorstep. The Sycamore style homes are each detached offering four-bedrooms, with living room, dining room, and a study, and each priced at £490,000.
Esquire Developments’ reputation for delivering high quality designed and built homes has led to the majority of its homes being sold off plan before build completion.
Alex added: “The local housing market has remained buoyant throughout the lockdown. Demand has remained strong for properties offering work from home or home schooling space, as well as the opportunity to influence the look and feel of the home’s design and finish.”
