Walk while the sun sets and help raise funds for hospice

Put your best foot forward and enjoy the sunset when you join an evening stroll for charity.

ellenor Hospice in Gravesend is inviting members of the public to join its annual Twilight Walk to help raise funds for its palliative care. The only hospice in Kent to offer services to both adults and children, it provides pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.

Melissa Rosenqvist Supporter Engagement Officer at ellenor, said: “We’re very pleased to be able to hold the Twilight Walk again this year. We rely on public donations to offer our services, so events such as this are really important to us. Now the world has re-opened and people are beginning to feel more comfortable meeting up in groups, this outside event is the perfect opportunity to get friends and family together to go for a walk and know you’re making a difference to people’s lives.”

The Twilight Walk – which has both 8km and 12km routes – will take place at Cyclopark, Gravesend, on Friday, 24th September, from 7pm, with registration from 6pm.

The whole team from event sponsor Esquire Developments, the award-winning housebuilder based at Longfield, will be among the people taking part.

David Braddon, Director of Esquire Developments, said: “ellenor is a really important charity and means a lot to us at Esquire. We’re pleased to be able to support this event both behind the scenes as sponsors and on the night as participants as our whole team will be walking together and encouraging people to sponsor us in aid of the hospice.”

Esquire Developments’ team of 26 staff will all be taking part. They aim to collectively raise £3,000. You can sponsor them at:

It costs from £20 for adults to take part, or £10 for children, and there is no minimum fundraising amount. Participants are simply asked to raise what they can. All finishers will receive a t-shirt and medal. To find out more and sign up, visit
